My Take on 6 Yards

Sari or Saree is a traditional Indian female attire from the Indian subcontinent that consists of a drape varying from six to nine yards (4.5 metres to 8 metres) in length. As many already know how to wear it in the traditional manner, I wanted to think out of the box and give the 6 yards a more contemporary look. My client showcased this look at one of the Indo-Western events in Seattle and was well appreciated.

Complete Transformation

My Client ‘S’ works for one of the biggest multinational technology company. Working day in and out as well as being a single mom of two great kids I think it took a toll on her dressing and the way she felt about herself.

S needed a complete make over where she realizes how beautiful and gorgeous she is inside out.

We had a personal shopping session and I made sure she fits well into outfits that not only accentuates her curves but also gives her the reassurance that yes, you can look hot!

The denim dress from Calvin Klein fit her petite body type like a glove. Perfect for summer brunches/lunches. Keeping in mind that she had a back issue, I kept it easy on the feet and gave her a pair of sneakers from Girl Madden. (Her choice of brand). Completed the outfit with a chic 2-tiered necklace from Nordstrom.

I think S looked her best in this outfit. It is so important for every woman out there to know that she is strong, and she has the power to make anything come true. We as women multitask so many roles and, in the process forget the pay attention to ourselves. At Now Style Me, we not only help style you to look your best but also give you the reassurance of feeling good from within.
